DAY 5

  • Trek: Start with a 1–2 hour ascent through shaded areas to a clearing with prayer flags. Continue to Chhoe Chhoe Tse Lhakhang, a temple on the mountainside.
  • Climb: Ascend to a temple with panoramic views of Paro airport and the Himalayas. Continue through ancient forest and arrive at Bum-Dra Monastery.
  • Afternoon: Optionally visit the monastery or climb to the north peak (around 4000m) for stunning Himalayan views.
  • Evening: Settle into your campsite and enjoy dinner with breathtaking views.

DAY 6

Bum-Dra Trek and Visit Tiger’s Nest

  • Morning: After breakfast, decide whether to spend more time at Bum-Dra enjoying the views or begin your descent.
  • Descent: Follow the monks’ winding trail through ancient pine and rhododendron forests, passing between monasteries.
  • Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest): Reach the monastery by descending to a waterfall and climbing up steps. Explore this sacred site, perched on a cliff over 10,000 feet above sea level.
  • Evening: Return to your hotel in Paro for a restful night.

DAY 7

Departure

  • Morning: Enjoy your final breakfast in Bhutan and prepare for departure.
