Day 02 Mumbai

Visit elephant caves , No visit to Mumbai is complete without a visit to the bazaars of Kalbadevi and Bluleshwar, north of Crawford Market. Crawford Market is also worth a look Dhobi Ghat– Visit –
A dabbawala; also spelled as dabbawalla or dabbawallah, (tiffin wallah in older sources); is a person in India, most commonly in Mumbai, who is part of a delivery system that collects hot food in lunch boxes from the residences of workers in the late morning, delivers the lunches to the workplace, predominantly using bicycles and the railway trains, and returns the empty boxes to the worker’s residence that afternoon. They are also used by meal suppliers in Mumbai, where they ferry ready, cooked meals from central kitchens to the customers and back.
In Mumbai, most office workers prefer to eat home-cooked food in their workplace rather than eat outside at a food stand or at a local restaurant, usually for reasons of taste and hygiene, hence the concept. A number of work-from-home women also supply such home-cooked meals, delivering through the dabbawala network

Day 03 Mumbai

Koli Fishing Village, Cuffe Parade
A trip to Bombay is not complete without a look at the city’s original inhabitants – the Koli fisher folk. Circle to Cuffe Parade. On the way to your right, you will see colourful fishing boats. This is a little Koli village that has kept its traditional occupation and culture.
Chor Bazaar (Thieves Market) and other options
This is Mumbai’s famous Thieves Market where the bargain-hungry can rummage for antiques and curious at throwaway prices. There are little antique shops that offer authentic old furniture, maps, brassware, woodcarvings and assorted bric-a-brac.
The essence of Bombay is in its streets and markets, so spend an evening wandering Chor Bazaar and the adjoining areas of Mohammed Ali Road.

Marine Drive and Chowpatty Beach
From the bazaar areas near Crawford Market, drive through the Princess Street Flyover to Marine Drive.Ask your driver to stop at the top of the flyover, from where you’ll see your first panoramic view of Marine Drive and the sea. Nariman Point is at one end of Marine Drive, and Chowpatty Beach at the other.
Evening is also a wonderful time to spend at Chowpatty beach, just watching local families out to enjoy the evening breeze. There’s a lot of colour at the beach. Take a peep at the food stalls selling local favourites – pavbhaji and bhelpuri.

Day 04 Mumbai – Aurangabad By Flight

Today transfer to airport connecting flight to Aurangabad

Day 05 Aurangabad – Ajanta Caves

Breakfast at the Hotel. After breakfast proceed for full day .Excursion to Ajanta – (closed on Monday)These  2nd century caves are fine achievements by Buddhist monks. Beautiful frescoes, wall paintings and vivid sculptures reflect the peak of ancient Indian art and architecture. The horseshoe shaped gorge has 30 caves dividend in two phases. Return back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 06 Aurangabad to Bhuranpur and village Mandu by Road

Day 08 Mandu to MaheshwarAhilya Fort

After Breakfast Transfer to Maheshwar is a city in Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh state, in central India. It is located 13 km east of National Highway 3 and 91 km from Indore, the commercial capital of the state. The City lies on the north bank of the Narmada River.

Day 09 Maheshwar Village –guide

Maheshwar town is built on the site of the ancient city of SomvanshyaShastrarjun Kshatriya, and was the capital of king KartaviryaArjuna,(Shree SHASTRARJUN) who is mentioned in the Sanskrit epics Mahabharata and Ramayana. Maheshwar was known as Mahissati (Mahishamati in Sanskrit) in ancient times and was the capital of Southern Avanti.
Maheshwar on the banks of the Narmada was capital of King Sahasrarjun. One day the King and his 500 wives went to the river for a picnic. When the wives wanted a vast play area, the King stopped the mighty river Narmada with his 1000 arms. While they were all enjoying themselves, Ravana flew by in his Pushpak Vimana. Downstream, when he saw the dry river bed, he thought it was an ideal place to pray to Lord Shiva. He made a shivalinga out of sand and began to pray. When Sahasrajuna’s wives were done and they stepped out of the river bed, he let the waters flow. The voluminous river flowed down sweeping Ravana’sshivalinga along, messing up his prayers. Furious, Ravana tracked Sahasrajuna and challenged him. Armed to the hilt the mighty Ravana was in for a huge surprise. The mighty Sahasrarjuna with the 1000 arms pinned Ravana to the ground. Then he placed 10 lamps on his heads and one on his hand. After tying up Ravana, Sahasrarjuna dragged him home and tied him up to the cradle pole of his son. A humiliated Ravana stayed prisoner until his release was secured. Even today, the Sahasrarjun temple at Maheshwar lights 11 lamps in memory of the event. In Mahabharata, there is description[1] of an unusual custom of non-prevalence of marriages in Mahishmati. As per the legend, there was a king named Nila who ruled over Mahishmati. King Nila had a daughter who was exceedingly beautiful. So much so that god Agni(fire) fell in love with her. She always used to stay near the sacred fire of her father, causing it to blaze up with vigour. And it so happened that king Nila’s fire, even if fanned, would not blaze up till agitated by the gentle breath of that girl’s fair lips. And it was said in King Nila’s palace and in the house of all his subjects that the god Agni desired that beautiful girl for his bride. And it so happened that Agni was accepted by the girl herself. A secret love affair began between god Agni, who assumed the form of a Brahman, and the beautiful princess. But, one day the couple was discovered by the king, who became furious. Nila thereupon ordered the Brahmana to be punished according to law. At this the illustrious deity flamed up in wrath and beholding the terrible flame, the king felt terrified and bent his head low on the ground. The legend abruptly comes to a conclusion (perhaps due to narration changes it underwent in later centuries before being written) and from that time, the girls of the city of Mahishmati became rather unacceptable to others as wives. God Agni by his boon granted them sexual liberty, so that the women of that town always roam about at will, each unbound to a particular husband.In the late eighteenth century, Maheshwar served as the capital of RajmataAhilya Devi Holkar, ruler of the state of Indore. She embellished the city with many buildings and public works, and it is home to her palace, as well as numerous temples, a fort, and riverfront ghats (broad stone steps which step down to the river).

Day 10 Maheshwar to Indore

After breakfast in the morning, we will leave Maheshwar and drive to Indore .
ndore is a city in west-central India. It’s known for the 7-story Rajwada Palace and the Lal Baag Palace, which date back to Indore’s 19th-century Holkar dynasty. The Holkar rulers are honored by a cluster of tombs and cenotaphs at ChhatriBaag. The night market Sarafa Bazar sells street food. East is the Indo-Gothic Gandhi Hall and clock tower. The Jain temple KanchMandir has a mirrored mosaic interior. This combination can be seen through the different attractions of this place such as Central Museum, Gomatgiri, KanchMandir, Khajrana and Lal Bagh Palace , ChatriRajwada , Sarafa Bazar Night Visit to all these places and have a comfortable overnight stay in Indore.

Day 11 Indore to Bhopal (3 hrs.)

After breakfast in the morning, we will leave to Bhopal en-route Visit Dewas Indore, Madhya Pradesh, India
Dewas is an ancient place nearest to Indore city located at Madhya Pradesh, the west-central part of Indian state. The holy name of Dewas is derived from the Devi Vaishini hill in the city, It is commonly known as devas Tekri. There is a Devi Chamunda and TuljaBhavani temple located on the Devas Tekri. Drive To Bhopal Check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure. Day 12 Bhopal

Today morning after breakfast, we will leave for a sightseeing tour around Bhopal. To start with, we will first head towards Sanchi and explore one of the oldest stupas of India i.e. Sanchi Stupa. Built around 2000 years ago, the stupa is one of the major attractions of Bhopal. Thereafter, we will pay a visit to its other tourist places including SadarManzil, Moti Masjid, Lower and Upper Lakes. Later, return back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Sanchi is one of the significant tourist attractions located around Madhya Pradesh. It is a famed Buddhist pilgrimage destination and famous for its stupas, sculptural wealth, temples, monasteries and monolithic Asokan Pillar.

On the night of December 2, an industrial negligence in Bhopal led to a release of 30 tonnes of toxic methyl icocyanate(MIC)gas, exposing nearly 5 lakh people in the city to the deadly gas. A state government report said the accident caused more than 3500 deaths. And more than 8,000 died till now. These were not the only causalities of the accident. Families of the dead and the maimed have died a thousand deaths for the last 30 years as government couldn’t bring the people responsible for the accident to justice. Last month, the former chairman of Union Carbide, Warren Anderson, the main accused of the tragedy, died after leading his whole life in freedom in the United States, leaving permanent questions on Indian system of justice.
On the 30th anniversary, we will not show you the candle-light vigils. We will show you the pictures of ground zero, to show how colossal the catastrophe was.

Day 13 Bhopal to vidisa –giraspurchandri, Village – Chanderi sari-Gwalior

Today morning after breakfast visit Vidisha is a city in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India, located near the state capital Bhopal. Vidish? is the administrative headquarters of Bhelsa during the medieval period.
Gyaraspur is a panchayat village in the Vidisha district, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is also the headquarters of a tehsil of the same name . A Heritage of Excellence
hakhamba (9th century) – Situated very near to the local bus stand, this shrine has only eight pillars left surviving. An inscription dated 982 AD, helps to put this temple to 9th century AD. The temple was constructed on a raised platform, facing east. This can be reached with a flight of steps on eastern side. The structure of the temple suggests that it had a mukh-mandapa, antarala and garbha-griha. The pillars of the temple are extremely well carved with pot-creeper motifs. These are carved with stepped-octagonal-facets. These have an intermediate capital having lion-like faces at the corners. Above this capital is a round honey-comb style pillar segment which support another capital to, Chaukhamba (10th century)

Day 14 Gwalior - Local City Tour

After Breakfast we will leave for the local sightseeing tour of the city. We will start our day tour by visiting the Gwalior fort, one of the largest forts in India. Build in the 8th-century by Man Singh Tomar, this hill fort comprises of two main palaces, a defensive structure, Man Mandir and Gurjari Mahal. After exploring Gwalior’s beautiful hill fort, we will proceed to visit the famous Vishnu temple and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu. This temple was built long back in the 11th century and have a stunning interior that grabs tourists’ attention. In the evening, we will return back to the hotel for a relaxing overnight stay.
Gwalior is one of the most incredible cities of India located in Madhya Pradesh state of India. It is believed to be founded by the chieftain Surajpal, in respect of the saint Gwalipa who treated him. DatiaFort :Datia Palace, also known as Bir Singh Palace or Bir Singh Dev Palace[1] is situated nearly 75 km from Gwalior City in Madhya pradesh. The specialty of this palace is that it is of 7 floor. However neither member from the royal family did ever lived here. The founder of the Datia State in Bundelkhand – MaharajBirsinghDeo Build many such 52 monuments all around the Country India. This Palace was made by spending 35 Lakh Rupees (78 thousand us dollars) and it took nine years to build it. It is situated on an isolated rock on the western side of the city Datia. It represents Mughal architecture along with Rajput architecture. It is the biggest and most famous of all the 52 palaces build by Raja birsingh Deo and it can be seen easily from a long distance.
Sonagiri :This sacred place is popular among devotees & ascetic saints to practice for self discipline, austerity and to attain Nirvana (Salvation) since the time of BhagwanChandraprabhu (The 8th Teerthankar), Five & half Crores of ascetic saints have achived salvation (Moksha or Nirvana) from here.
The Samavsharan of BhagwanChandraprabhu came here for 17 times. Nang, Anang, Chintagati, Poornachand, Ashoksen, Shridatta, Swarnbhadra and many other saints achieved salvation from here.
This is the unique place known as LaghuSammedShikhar covering the area of 132 acres of two hills. There are 77 beautiful Jain temples with sky high spires, Temple No. 57 is main among them.
